(Tea Party 247) – One of the tired tropes we have heard over and over again in this country is the ridiculous notion of “the patriarchy,” a concept cooked up by radical feminists who, for some odd reason, believe they are being oppressed here in the United States — guess they should pay Iran a visit to see what real oppression looks like — and constantly paint men and practically everything they do as some form of sexual assault.
Well, as one Women’s March reporter discovered, men aren’t the only ones who can be found guilty of participating in sexual assault.
In fact, a protester who grabbed Infowars reporter Owen Shroyer by the crotch was just found guilty of misdemeanor sexual abuse following the incident.
Via Information Liberation:
The D.C. Superior Court ruling, which came down Tuesday, orders Catholic University of America student Isabel O’Shaughnessy to serve five days in jail and six months of unsupervised probation.
The case stemmed from a January 29 Women’s March event, where O’Shaughnessy, 21, walked up to Shroyer as he was filming a report and “grabbed and squeezed” his genitals, as noted in a criminal complaint.
The assault made headlines after Shroyer agreed to press charges against O’Shaughnessy, who was subsequently arrested and charged with misdemeanor sexual abuse.
“In an interview with police, she said she ‘inadvertently brushed up against him’ and that he took her comments out of context in what was an ‘emotionally charged situation,’” The Washington Post reported at the time.
O’Shaughnessy also told police she was being “sarcastic” when she made a verbal admission of her sexual assault on film.
More from Infowars:
Shroyer posted video of the assault to Twitter two days after the incident, saying, “Here is the moment I was sexually assaulted by a #WomensMarch2019 protester. She laughed about it. The crowd cheered it. The police did nothing.”
In the exchange, O’Shaughnessy appeared to be trying to make a point about the infamous Hollywood Access tape in which a hot mic caught President Trump using “locker room talk” to discuss his attraction to beautiful women.
“So, if our president can grab a woman by the pussy, I can grab you by the balls,” O’Shaughnessy told Shroyer as she touched his genitals.
“She just grabbed my dick! Is that sexual assault?” Owen asked the crowd, before asking O’Shaughnessy, “Is that sexual assault?”
“Yes,” she replied, speaking into an Infowars microphone.
“So you just sexually assaulted me?” Owen asked.
“I did assault you,” O’Shaughnessy admitted.
The left seems to have a real problem living consistently within their own worldview and principles. What the president participated in was locker room talk, and while inappropriate and somewhat degrading, is not a crime.
What O’Shaughnessy did was totally out of line and a ridiculously stupid way to make a point. She could’ve easily made the same point by using her words, but nope, like the vast majority of left-wingers in this country, she gave in to her hyped-up emotions and now she’s going to pay the price for it.
It’s nice to see someone on the left actually get held accountable for their actions when crossing over the line. With Antifa constantly attacking folks and not really seeming to pay any sort of consequences for it, it’s a relief to see that the justice system hasn’t completely bit the dust yet.
