What’s Happening In Minneapolis In Aftermath Of George Floyd Death Is Absolutely Tragic And Very Scary

(Tea Party 247) – America is a nation that has been badly divided along political and racial lines for a long time now, thanks in large part to the efforts of the radical left who have sought to create problems between people groups where none originally existed.

Because of this, legitimate instances of abuse and racism have been shoved aside, many folks finding it difficult to take the subject seriously. This is because of “the boy who cried wolf” syndrome the progressives have created in the nation’s atmosphere.

New video has emerged from the city of Minneapolis in light of the death of George Floyd, an unarmed black man who died after a police officer put his knee on the man’s neck while detaining him, and it’s absolutely appalling and terrifying at the same time.

Rather than react in a civilized manner and protest this death legitimately and demand an investigation and subsequent justice where it is required, individuals are taking to the streets to riot and loot, burning businesses to the ground.

Here’s more on this from BizPacReview:

As Minneapolis protests continued over the death of George Floyd, multiple videos captured the chaotic scene as some decided the best way to react was to vandalize local stores.

Many videos were shared on social media Wednesday as a Minneapolis Target store was looted, with televisions, clothes and groceries being hauled out and no police around to stop the lawbreakers, many actually wearing face masks due to the coronavirus pandemic.

**LANGUAGE WARNING: Raw Video**

The Minneapolis Police Department was nowhere to be seen as the store’s windows were smashed and dozens of people were seen taking off with goods like electronics, vacuum cleaners, lamps and more.

Videos showed the shocking scene inside the trashed store, which is located on Lake Street not far from Minneapolis’ Precinct police headquarters, according to the Minneapolis Star Tribune. Local Fox reporter Karen Scullin posted many videos, including one of the police station getting vandalized.

Empty shelves, overturned shopping carts and trash-covered floors were depicted in video footage from the interior of the gutted store which inexplicably became the target of those supposedly protesting the death of Floyd, a 46-year-old unarmed black man.

This is absolute insanity. Why in the world would you punish people who had nothing to do with this situation for a crime they themselves did not commit? Do these folks think by doing these crimes that it will pressure businesses and citizens at large to pay attention to what is going on? It’s not. It’s only going to make things worse and increase hatred. Violence and hate do not stop violence and hate. These people are being so ignorant.

Absolutely stand up and be bold in proclaiming the injustices of this case. By all means do that. It’s the duty of a good citizen to do that. However, that can be done peacefully in protest. This level of destruction is not needed to get the point across.

Outrage and anger have followed Floyd’s death after video showed how he pleaded multiple times that he could not breathe as a white police officer, Derek Chauvin, knelt on his neck during an arrest on Monday. The victim died and all four officers involved in the arrest were fired on Tuesday. The incident set off ongoing protests, and rioters the trashed their own city, looting and setting fires to businesses in addition to Target, like Wendy’s, Walmart and AutoZone.

Rioters and looters are nothing more than opportunists who are using this tragedy to justify stealing and being violent. There’s no excuse for this kind of behavior. None at all.

Be praying for the people of Minneapolis. This is getting really bad.
