(Tea Party 247) – In communist China, the one-party government has been using citizens’ cellphone data to track their movements and make sure they remain compliant to travel restrictions amid the coronavirus outbreak.
But what if I told you the American Centers for Disease Control is doing the same thing?
Last week, The Gateway Pundit reported that the CDC was requesting access to Americans’ cellphone locations for just this purpose.
Oh, but don’t worry. It’s all in the name of public health…right?
This week, TGP reports, the CDC was given access.
According to them, the federal government and the CDC are now tracking every American to make sure they are practicing “social distancing” and to better help combat the coronavirus pandemic.
No one wants this virus to spread further…but the government just crossed a very big line. And it’s one we’ve been wondering if they’d cross for a very long time.
What will happen when the virus is contained? Do we really believe they’ll just stop tracking us?
The Wall Street Journal reported on this program over the weekend.
NEW this morning: In the U.S., federal, state and local government officials have begun to get data from millions of American cell phones to combat the coronavirus pandemic — tracking crowds and movement, and how those things impact infection rates.https://t.co/jHbCoaLWpX
