(Tea Party 247) – It is pretty fascinating how little attention the NXIVM sex cult case is getting as it continues in upstate New York.
This was an honest-to-goodness case of women treated as actual sex slaves by people linked to folks like the Clintons and New York Senators Kirsten Gillibrand and Chuck Schumer.
Young women were told they’d be given boosts in their career and were joining part of an elite self-help group before being blackmailed into performing sex acts and forming part of sicko Keith Raniere’s harem.
He literally branded the women as his own, dehumanized slaves.
Where are all the #MeToo and #TimesUp folks on this one, hm?
Where are the protests, the denunciations of rape culture and patriarchy?
Nowhere to be found.
Not even with this:
On Thursday, disturbing pornographic images of an underage girl lured into the NXIVM sex cult were shown to jurors in the ongoing trial, according to the New York Daily News.
Some of the jurors visibly winced as they were made to view the graphic images.
The 18 photos, allegedly taken in 2005, depict a now-adutl women identified to the jurors as Camila, an underage “sex slave” who was only 15 at the time she was made part of Raniere’s harem.
A female FBI agent flopped through a binder containing the images for the jurors to see. She did not show them to the whole courtroom.
Some of the jurors remained stone-faced as they witnessed the images, while others wince and grimaced. Some had to look away.
Page by page, a female FBI agent who displayed them in a binder silently flipped through them for jurors to see. She did not show them to the entire courtroom.
Some jurors sat stone-faced during the presentation. Others grimaced. And some looked longer than others.
Keith Raniere, who sands accused of sex trafficking and requiring Camila to have sex with him and send him “crotch” shots as well as to recruit virgins for the harme, also reacted to the photos.
The New York Daily News notes that he “furiously scribbled notes and passed them to his lawyers as the jurors viewed the photos.”
