(Tea Party 24/7) – The United States government is the keeper of many, many conspiracies most of which sound crazy to the average American citizen. Perhaps some of us are too many generations away from remembering the assassination of Robert F. Kennedy on June 5, 1968, but there has always been suspicions surrounding his death.
Kennedy was assassinated in Los Angeles, California after a campaign celebration prompted by his success in the state’s Democratic primary. At the time RFK was seeking the Democratic presidential nomination. After a speech to an enthusiastic crowd, Kennedy was pulled away and shot dead in the kitchen of the Ambassador Hotel.
The man accused of killing Kennedy is Palestinian Sirhan Sirhan, who still remains in prison to this day. The interesting thing about Sirhan Sirhan is that he allegedly has zero recollection of the event and has maintained this story for the last 50 years. It seemed like an open-and-shut case considering he was wrestled to the ground right after the shooting while holding and firing a gun. Turns out there is more to this case than meets the eye and RFK’s son, Robert F. Kennedy Jr., is convinced he knows who the real killer is.
In an Instagram post on Sept. 11, RFK Jr. said he believes his father’s real killer was Cesar Eugene Thane, a security guard and Lockheed Aircraft employee. Thane died in the Philippines on the 11th, prompting the post by RFK Jr.

Thane Eugene Cesar died today in the Philippines. Compelling evidence suggests that Cesar murdered my father. On June 5, 1968, Cesar, an employee in a classified section of Lockheed’s Burbank facility, was moonlighting as a security guard at the Ambassador Hotel. He had landed the job about one week earlier. Cesar waited in the pantry as my father spoke in the ballroom, then grabbed my father by the elbow and guided him toward Sirhan. With 77 people in the pantry, every eyewitness said Sirhan was always in front on my father at a 3-6 feet distance. Sirhan fired two shots toward my father before he was tackled. From under the dog pile, Sirhan emptied his 8 chamber revolver firing 6 more shots in the opposite direction 5 of them striking bystanders and one going wild . By his own account, Cesar was directly behind my dad holding his right elbow with his own gun drawn when my dad fell backwards on top of him. Cesar repeatedly changed his story about exactly when he drew his weapon. According to the Coroner, Dr. Thomas Noguchi, all 4 shots that struck my father were “contact” shots fired from behind my dad with the barrel touching or nearly touching his body. As my dad fell,he reached back and tore off Cesar’s clip on tie. Cesar sold his .22 to a co-worker weeks after the assassination warning him that it had been used in a crime. Cesar lied to police claiming that he'd disposed of the gun months before the assassination. Cesar was a bigot who hated the Kennedys for their advocacy of Civil Rights for blacks. I had plans to meet Thane Eugene Cesar in the Philippines last June until he demanded a payment of $25,000 through his agent Dan Moldea. Ironically, Moldea penned a meticulous and compelling indictment of Cesar in a 1995 book and then suddenly exculpated him by fiat in a bizarre and nonsensical final chapter. Police have never seriously investigated Cesar's role in my father’s killing.
“Thane Eugene Cesar died today in the Philippines. Compelling evidence suggests that Cesar murdered my father,” RFK Jr. claimed in his post.
“On June 5, 1968, Cesar, an employee in a classified section of Lockheed’s Burbank facility, was moonlighting as a security guard at the Ambassador Hotel,” he continued. “He had landed the job about one week earlier. Cesar waited in the pantry as my father spoke in the ballroom, then grabbed my father by the elbow and guided him toward Sirhan.”
RFK Jr. claims Thane shot his father four times in the back which is consistent with the coroner’s report. He also asserts the police never considered investigating Thane as having a role in the murder despite the fact that he was very much present when it went down.
“The LAPD unit (SUS) that investigated my dad’s assassination was run by active CIA operatives. They destroyed thousands of pieces of evidence,” RFK Jr. attests.
The son of the murdered political icon isn’t the first person to accuse Cesar of delivering the death blows, as many have been suspicious that the Lockheed employee was called to work at the last minute and that he held far-right anti-Kennedy views.
However, the accusation doesn’t mean the jailed-assassin Sirhan Sirhan didn’t also shoot RFK but instead suggests the pair worked together, both firing shots at the Democrat candidate.
There is even controversy over what Cesar did with the possible murder weapon, as RFK Jr. wrote, “Cesar sold his .22 to a co-worker weeks after the assassination warning him that it had been used in a crime. Cesar lied to police claiming that he’d disposed of the gun months before the assassination.”
Cesar and RFK Jr. were set to meet in the Philippines last June, but the meeting was supposedly canceled by Cesar’s agent Dan Moldea.
It most definitely seems as though there is a distinct possibility that Thane is the real killer. It is very interesting that Sirhan has maintained for 50 years that he does not recall the shooting. He also does not recall writing very disturbing journal entries about killing RFK that were discovered after the assassination. He appears to be a real life Manchurian candidate for the crime. How deep in the government does the assassination go? If Sirhan was manipulated and brainwashed into helping commit the crime, who was responsible for that? The CIA?
“Sirhan, to this day, has no memory of the assassination,” RFK Jr. confirmed, as he has spoken with Sirhan personally while he serves a life sentence at Richard J. Donovan Correctional Facility in San Diego, California.
Something sure seems off here. Will there be a re-opening into the investigation of RFK’s murder?
