(Tea Party 247) – Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH), one of President Trump’s most ardent allies in the House, is calling out the impeachment inquiry for exactly what it is:
An attempt to undo the will of the American people who voted for Trump in 2016 (and will do so again in 2020, no doubt).
Jordan, who was recently placed on the House Intelligence Committee just ahead of Chairman Adam Schiff’s (D-CA) public show trials over the last two weeks, said that the hearings are yet another indication that the Democrats still, after all this time, refuse to accept the results of a free election in 2016.
63 million Americans voted for Trump. The Democrats can’t get over this. And they’re descending into collective madness trying to undo it.
The Ohio congressman said during an appearance on Fox News that the entire basis for the hearings was flawed, given there’s no evidence that Trump delivered anything to Ukraine and that the claims of “quid pro quo” remain unsubstantiated.
“So this idea that there was a this for that, a quid for quo — a quid pro quo didn’t happen,” Jordan said. “And yet they continue to say, oh, oh, but this is impeachable.”
“This is not about that at all, Bret. This is — this is about they have never accepted the will of the American people, when 63 million Americans, in an Electoral College landslide, said, we’re going to send Donald Trump to Washington shake that town up,” he added, addressing Special Report host Bret Baier.
“And the establishment here, and particularly the Democrats, have never accepted that,” Jordan continued. “And they’re going to do whatever it takes, Mueller report, FBI investigation, dossier, or now this, whatever it takes to try to get him out. That’s what this is really about.”
It is particularly worthy of note that the Democrats, before the 2016 election, criticized Trump for indicating he may not accept the results of the election.
At the time, considering the DNC had just rigged the primary election in Hillary Clinton’s favor despite Bernie Sanders clearly being the more favored candidate, this was actually a pretty reasonable statement on Trump’s part.
The Democrats have been rigging elections for as long as this millennial writer can remember. Who can forget 2000?
As soon as Trump was elected, however, their tune suddenly changed. Suddenly, the democratic process they had so much faith in when they were sure Trump would lose no longer meant anything.
