(Tea Party 247) – Americans are being manipulated by the mainstream media. This has become glaringly obvious as we look around and can see just how many of our friends, family, and neighbors are buying into the false liberal narratives and blatant lies. How many times have you had a conversation with someone about how bad they think Trump is but can only cite the media manufactured arguments they are spoon-fed by the likes of “news” outlets like CNN and MSNBC? I imagine it’s happened more times than you care to consider.
The mainstream media is creating an environment where people no longer feel the need to think critically or independently and have lost the ability to engage in respectful debate. The media only shows one side of the story and rarely engage in any real discourse with anyone holding opposing views. They’ve shown Americans how important it is to surround ourselves with only like-minded people. Mainstream media echo chambers are teaching Americans how to be completely intolerant of differing opinions and views.
Not only that but they control the messaging as dictated by their powerful sponsors, whose dollars they would never risk losing. America is run by corporations and money talks. If, for example, CNN is sponsored by Big Pharma, you can bet they are not going to run any stories that showcase the dangers of toxic vaccines and how many children are injured by them each year. Instead, they’ll run stories featuring “outbreaks” of diseases like measles and mumps and work everybody up into such fear that they race out and get their children shot up with as many poisonous vaccines as possible.
You can apply this formula to all big industries; GMO’s, banking, Big Tech, Wall Street, etc. Wherever the money comes from, the bias comes from. When you consider that all major media companies are owned by only SIX major media corporations, you can see how easy it is to manipulate information flow and messaging. They don’t just own television stations, they also own movie production companies, newspapers, magazines, publishing houses, and music labels; everything we read, hear, and watch. In 1983, all media companies were owned by about 50 companies. That has been condensed to only 6 and if you aren’t concerned about this, you should be.
Humans Are Free reports:
The six corporations that collectively control U.S. media today are Time Warner, Walt Disney, Viacom, Rupert Murdoch’s News Corp., CBS Corporation and NBC Universal. Together, the “big six” absolutely dominate news and entertainment in the United States.
But even those areas of the media that the “big six” do not completely control are becoming increasingly concentrated. For example, Clear Channel now owns over 1000 radio stations across the United States. Companies like Google, Yahoo and Microsoft are increasingly dominating the Internet.
But it is the “big six” that are the biggest concerns. When you control what Americans watch, hear and read you gain a great deal of control over what they think. They don’t call it “programming” for nothing.
These companies are on the verge of running a total monopoly on information in the United States. That is truly disturbing when you think about how affected society is by the things we watch and read on a daily basis. It’s blatant brainwashing and millions of Americans are perfectly fine with being manipulated in this way. Or at least they don’t want to sacrifice screen time for the sake of independent thinking.
Fortunately, an increasing number of Americans are starting to wake up and are realizing that the mainstream media should not be trusted. According to a poll released by Gallup back in 2010, the number of Americans that have little to no trust in the mainstream media (57%) is at an all-time high.
That is a reassuring sign. At least it seems that slowly but surely people are starting to understand the media is really not our friend. They care only about their corporate sponsors that pay their exorbitant salaries. We can’t honestly expect them to be transparent, truthful, and objective in their reporting and messaging. The cost of integrity is just too high when you can make literally millions of dollars manipulating facts, spinning stories, and outright lying.
Americans, especially conservatives, are becoming increasingly aware of this media corruption and are seeking out alternative news outlets and rejecting the mainstream media like never before. If we keep speaking out against this unethical control of information, we can make more people aware and hopefully eventually affect real change.
