(Tea Party 247) – Former Fox News host Bill O’Reilly is a staple of conservative commentary.
And, as the mainstream media has gotten more hysterically far-left—and irresponsible in their reporting of the news—he predicts it may have a grim future ahead of it when President Donald Trump leaves office.
O’Reilly predicted a “collapse” of cable news networks should Joe Biden begin his first term as POTUS (to say nothing of the fact that Trump may still very well win the election).
He explained that “something’s going on” already at Fox News, as clearly evidenced by their bias election coverage that caused viewers to leave for Newsmax and OANN in droves after November 3rd.
“NBC News, CNN, and the other networks are going to collapse almost entirely,” O’Reilly said during an interview with Sinclair Broadcasting’s “America This Week” on Wednesday.
“They don’t have any credibility,” he explained, adding “everybody knew… they were trying to destroy Trump.”
“Now you’re going to tell the truth,” he scoffed. “It’s over.”
It does appear to be over as Fox News’ ratings slumped post-election, and the network where O’Reilly was once one of its top stars was called out by POTUS himself, who pointed to its “completely collapsed” daytime ratings.
President Trump also noted that the “biggest difference between the 2016 Election, and 2020, was @FoxNews.”
We’re apt to agree.
Just imagine if the network hadn’t called Arizona early for Biden or had called Florida when it was clear that Trump would win!
Or if the anchors and commentators who were on air that evening had had the gall to stand up to the network’s decision desk and push back against the confusing calls.
So much for “fair and balanced.”
The week of the election, viewers turned off Fox News and switched over to Newsmax TV, who is enjoying a huge bump in ratings and downloads of their app from disgruntled exiles of the network that was once a haven for conservatives sick of left-leaning biases in media.
On Thursday, Nielson reported that over 1 million cable viewers per minute watched “Greg Kelly Reports,” on Newsmax.
The network itself estimates that an additional one million viewers watched through streaming OTT devices.
Brian Stelter of CNN’s poorly-named “Reliable Sources” program tweeted on Saturday that, “At this point, I think we can confidently say that Newsmax is cutting into Fox’s base . . .“
At this point, I think we can confidently say that Newsmax is cutting into Fox's base — in a measurable way — by positioning itself to the right of Fox, leaning hard into election trutherism and conspiracy theory. (https://t.co/iEZHESELrq)

This is probably one of the truest statements that Stelter has made in a long time.
He also pointed to a gaining market share on behalf of Newsmax.
As for O’Reilly, he also warned that the networks who invested so much energy into bashing President Trump will hold Joe Biden to a completely different standard.
As if you needed him to tell you that.
