Kissinger Warns Conflict With China Could Be “Worse Than World Wars”

(Tea Party 247) – There has always been competition between the US and China and recently with Trump’s imposition of tariffs on Chinese-imported goods, it seems as though the possibility of escalation between the two countries is not a far-fetched idea.

Despite the fact that China is a major offender of violating human rights, with their modern-day concentration camps, going to war with China would not be in the best interest of either country.

Former US Secretary of State Henry Kissinger said in a recent interview that a conflict between the two countries would be “worse than world wars.”

Summit News reports:

Former US secretary of state Henry Kissinger warns that a catastrophic conflict between America and China that will be “worse than world wars” is inevitable unless the two sides sort out their differences.

Kissinger made the comments at an event hosted by the National Committee on US China Relations in New York last night.

“We are in a difficult period now. I am confident the leaders on both sides will realise the future of the world depends on the two sides working out solutions and managing the inevitable difficulties,” said Kissinger.

A permanent conflict between Washington And Beijing would be unwinnable and lead to “catastrophic outcome,” he added.

“It’s no longer possible to think that one side can dominate the other…it will be worse than the world wars that ruined European civilisation,” said Kissinger.

The U.S. and China have been embroiled in a trade war since President Trump began imposing tariffs on thousands of Chinese-made products in a bid to end unfair trading practices.

According to Yahoo! Finance, the US and China have been in a “tit-for-tat tariffs war” and justifiably so given the fact that China has benefitted greatly from their business dealings with the US and we have lost out by a lot. Jobs have gone over to China while we continue to allow them to export their goods here at ridiculously low cost to them. It’s high-time a president say “enough” when it comes to China taking advantage of the US.

Not to mention the fact that by allowing them to take advantage of us we are only building up their economy and giving them the means to become a world dominating super-power. Not exactly in our best interests.

Luckily Kissinger believes the current trade dispute will end “in a positive way,’ according to Yahoo! Finance and we do too. Of course, President Trump knows what he is doing, especially when it comes to China, a place he has had extensive experience doing business with in his own past.

It’s safe to say the United States is in good hands with President Trump at the wheel. A conflict with China is not in our best interests but neither is allowing them to walk all over us. Something previous administrations had no problem doing. Especially considering Joe Biden’s sons involvement with the Chinese government and how that led to lenient US policies towards Beijing under the Obama administration. That’s a topic for another day.

It’s good to see Kissinger has faith in President Trump and his abilities to work the situation out with China in a positive way.

  1. Just remember that Kissinger is heavily invested in China, both financially and, you might say, politically. Although he gladly takes most of the credit for something President Nixon had contemplated long before he knew Kissinger, he has been even happier to reap the financial benefits. If China goes the way of the old Soviet Union, he has a lot to lose.

  2. I agree with the hardliners; I am ethnic Chinese. I propose everyone to read epochtimes in English or to go to the English website They have much deeper analysis of the Chinese situation because they are stemmed from an Chinese-American-created organization. Kissenger is outdated and to quote an adage from Chinese, the result of his actions is synonymous with “nurturing a tiger so that it can gorge you later”. The problem with Kissenger is that he is not a student of Chinese history and the CCP is a product of Marxism-Leninism and two-thousand years of rule under Chinese emperors. I concur that both end in despotism except that Chinese emperors did have to follow an honor system whereas the followers of Marxism-Leninism do not espouse honor and they think that the means justify the end. Reading the Chinese version of the Internationale, the communist-party anthem, shall be a guide to what you can expect from the CCP, even though class struggle is no longer relevant in Chinese politics. Promises from the CCP have less meaning than flatulence. The mistake that Kissenger made is that he thinks promises from the CCP have more meaning than flatulence. The same can be said for all those who indulge the CCP. The biggest mistake that Americans made is that we allowed the Chinese to be sole suppliers of lots of things, and now, it will cost us. Manufacturing jobs cannot all return to the US. With the advent of AI, most may not even return to the human race. So for now, there will be cheap labor from other countries less threatening albeit it will take time. Tariff is the best and simplest solution. Prez Trump is right but he is losing steam.

  3. To Claymore ,do you have access to a nuclear bunker if it all kicks off, the only people who will have a safe haven are the same dumb bastards who create these problems, imagine how great life could be if you spent 50% less on the military and spent it on health and recreation , how many politicians make money out of the military.
Headlines are the distraction for what goes on behind the scenes $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

  4. So long as the big families own the banks, and the media and the oil and the sheep stay sheep Nothing is going to change. I am in my fifties and i see the same shit on tv for water aid with a kid drinking dirty water in a pond with cattle in it as i did 40 years ago ,a climate change promoter said on BBC radio melting ice would creat a water shortage obviously in denial how much fresh water is in the world there is no will too solve lack of water by big countries because they want people to starve ,so they arent competition.

  5. China will never honor treaties or commitments. They are liars and they will only tell you what you want hear. They cannot be trusted!!

  6. This pompous old bastard warned that we would be defeated by the Soviet Union if we didn’t cave in to them.

He must be running out of all the bribe money the USSR and China paid him 40 years ago to warn us to tread lightly with our enemies.

Someone needs to call old Kissinger close and lift his passport and then kick him out of America. We do not need pansey-assed apologists making foreign policy for us.

  7. Kissinger is one of,if not the, smartest person to hold a government position that this world will ever know. To take this mans words with a grain of salt is far worst than foolish. It’s good to see and hear that Kissinger is in support of President Trump in foreign affairs concerning China.

  8. Thank God that our former Secretary of State has the common sense to realize how important it is for us to stand our ground against China.

  9. Henry Kissinger back in the 70’s and 80’s was a proponent of financing the developement of China and increased trade. His premise was: that nations involved in trade are less likely to go to war with each other. Looks like the old fart helped financed our enemy, but isn’t held responsible for what he preached. I’m still waiting for this worthless piece of dung to die.

  10. I am sure it would be ugly.. 1st strike with Trident 2 Nukes would put a damper on the Chicoms aggression. It would also reduce the debt we owe China .

  11. Gee! What else you would expect from a bald ling face politician to say at … let me check again… Oh yeah! … National Committee of US/China Relationship!…Kill, kill kill? Grab, grab, grab?…
Nice one! Wonder why this actually made it even in so called “alternative media”!

  12. Thank God we have a POTUS who understands what has been happening in our country. Mr Kissinger is old school from another time in our country’s history and he speaks with age old wisdom. We need more from his era to speak out.

  13. It’s a no win situation. As a manufacturer of electronic devices, I have little choice but to buy Chinese made components. I cannot afford American made parts , or they simply do not make the required parts. In order to completely divorce Chinese suppliers, American manufacturers would have to be able to produce the same parts at a better price. This would require American workers to be willing to work for “peanuts” and have no Unions. It just ain’t gonna happen….sadly, we are stuck with Chinese products.

  14. Of course China has a big advantage with a $15 / day labor rate vs the US labor rate of $15 / hr. The US NIST should set higher standards to avoid the cheap China products.

  15. The writer suggests that we have been in a trade war with China since Trump adopted tariffs. I believe he is grossly in error. China initiated economic warfare through trade with the US, some, 30 years ago. We, just, haven’t realized it yet-seriously.

  16. Thankfully President Trump has excellent business sense and extensive experience working with other nations. Unfortunately the same can’t be said for the Democrats who tend to be sissies and stupid by comparison. And their presidential candidates have little to no business experience. We should leave well enough alone and let Trump continue for another term and that way by then the trade issues will have been solved and everyone happy.

  17. What is different about Hunter Biden getting a billion dollars to sit on a “board” in China and Obama now being worth over 41 million dollars?
No difference! They are just two democrats fleecing the American tax payers.

  18. re:

“The U.S. and China have been embroiled in a trade war since President Trump began imposing tariffs on thousands of Chinese-made products in a bid to end unfair trading practices”

Nonsense. The trade war was initiated by China, with one sided rules, breaking even those rules, stealing intellectual processes, bulling traders, etc.

Cowards who preceded trump, merely passively allowed this all to pass. Now you blame Trump for starting a trade war?

  19. It’s becoming more apparent every day how the very poor policies of Obama have seriously affected American business growth with China.
It’s obvious that he wanted the next President to fail. Thank the informed voters that won’t happen.

  20. With that said, how about having the President’s enemies
Stop this senseless fighting and let him do his job as he sees it?
If we don’t like the result——
    hello 2020

  21. We, the American consumer need to check all items before purchasing as to where item is made. I will no longer purchase clothes, shoes, or trinkets made in China. I know the electronics or their components are all China products so we need to limit purchases. If most Americans would stop purchasing their products for a few months-we could turn things around. After all China does not want their products to last long term, so they are made as cheep as possible. I am afraid to eat anything from China not knowing how clean the kitchens are!!

    • I don’t really care if you like him or not. What he said and what the author here says is precisely how it is. Leaders of the communist China have gotten too used to getting their way. I do not doubt but that their are part of trying to stop Trump from being RE-elected. The Chinese people generally like the West, especially the USA. Too much control by those in power over a long period creates the self-conceit notion of entitlement.

    • You are totally right. He’s an insider from the CFR and Trilateral Commission with ties to the Rothschild Bankers, et al., for years. He’s an insider of the very Deep STATE. He can never be trusted…EVER!
