(Tea Party 247) – Life for disgraced Hollywood actor Jussie Smollett, the man who allegedly faked an attack on himself for the sake of claiming it was racially motivated to help further his career, is about to get a whole lot harder.
Earlier this week, Smollett found out that a special prosecutor in Chicago was going to slap him with a six-count indictment for making up false statements to local authorities, but that was just the beginning of his troubles. Just a day later, the Nigerian brothers who were allegedly hired by Smollett to perpetrate the attack have revealed their lives have become a nightmare because of being tangled up with him, thus they have finally agreed to testify in a court of law once his case goes to trial.
Gloria Schmidt, the duo’s lawyer, recently spoke with Page Six where she complained about how the act of assisting Smollett has destroyed their formerly blossoming Hollywood careers. Apparently, work for both Abel and Ola Osundairo has now come to a total standstill as a result of being connected with the attack on Smollet, forcing them to rely on food pantries to help get by.
Here’s more from BizPacReview:
“It’s been really hard for them,” she said. “They’ve tried to kind of jump back into the life they had [and] they couldn’t. They were getting 4 to 5 auditions a month before, [but] that’s completely dried up. Their talent agent dropped them. … They’re eating at the food pantry. It’s not going well for them.”
The two made the mistake of a lifetime last year by allegedly agreeing to help Smollett perpetrate a fake hate crime that involved him being attacked in the middle of the night in Chicago by two alleged white Trump supporters, accosted with racial/homophobic epithets, drenched in bleach and having a rope tied around his neck.
“This is the end of the beginning for them,” Schmidt said. “They know there’s a long road ahead and there’s a lot of things that need to happen before a jury or judge finds they’re truthful. They have no real skin in the game. They just know their role is to be honest and tell the truth about what happened.”
Schmidt went on to say that the two brothers have no ill will towards Smollett, but believe it is critically important at this point to be honest about what they know and to hope that he will also be honest about the events that transpired that evening.
As of now, however, the former “Empire” actor has refused to confess that he planned the whole attack and falsified police reports in order to help push his career to the next level. Will the testimony offered by the two brothers push him over the edge and force him to open up about what really happened?
However, this case is very important to keep an eye on because it reveals much about the problems with our modern culture and its misplaced obsession with racism, so stay tuned.
